| RIGHTS OF SERVANTS AND SLAVES |
| Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "the slave has a right to his food and clothes and he should not be emburdned beyond his capacity. (Muslim) |
| Sayyiduna Abu Zar (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "They (servants or slaves) are your brothers whom Allah has placed under your care. So whosoever's brother Allah has placed under his care, he should feed him from what he eats and clothe him from what he wears, and should not emburden him more than his capacity, and if he does emburden him with that which overwhelms him, he should assist him therein. | RIGHTS OF THE WEAK AND THE NEEDY |
| Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "The one who strives in (fulfilling the needs) of a widow and a needy person is like the one who makes Jihaad in the path of Allah, and I think he said, (he is like one stands in Ibadat) who is not laxed and like the fasting person, who does not break his fast." | Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "I and the one who cares for the orphan (his own relative) or someone else's, will be like this in Jannah," and he gestured (the closeness) by placing his index and middel finger closely with a very small space between them." | Sayyiduna Abi Umamah (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "whoever passes his hand over the head of an orphan, and does so for the pleasure of Allah alone, then for every hair his hand passes over, will be a reward, and whoever shows kindness to a male or female orphan under him, then I and he will be like this in Jannah," and he (Rasulullah SAW) placed his two fingers closely. He does not oppress him, nor does he surrender him (To the enemy) and Allah continuously is in the assistance of his servant as long as the servant is in the assistance of his brother. Whoever removes an obstacle from a Muslim, Allah will remove an obstacle from him from the obstacles of the Day of Qiyamah. Whoever conceals a Muslim, Allah will conceal him on the Day of Qiyamah." | Sayyiduna Abu Sa'eed (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "whichever Muslim clothes a naked Muslim, Allah will clothe him from the green garments of Jannah and whichever Muslim feeds a hungry Muslim, Allah will feed him from the fruits of Jannah and whichever Muslim gives a thirsty Muslim to drink, Allah will give him to drink from the Sealed Nectar." | RIGHTS OF NEIGHBOURS |
| Sayyiduna Jaabir (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, " Neighbours are of three types: one neighbour towards whom he has one right, and he is the lowest in rank in terms of rights, a neighbour towards whom he has two rights and a neighbour towards whom he has three rights. As for the neighbour towards whom he has one right, is the disbelieving neighbour, to him he is not related. To him is (only) the right of being a neighbour. As for the neighbour towards whom he has two rights, is his Muslim neighbour: he has a right towards him because of him being a Muslim and him being a neighbour. As for him towards whom he has 3 rights, is a neighbour who is a Muslim and a relative. Towards him is the right because he is a Muslim, and the right of a neighbour, and the right of being a relative. (Bazzaar, Abu Nu'aim) |
| Sayyiduna Jaabir (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, if any of you cooks a pot (of food) he should increase the gravy therein, then send from it to his neighbour.". (Tabrani in mu'jam ausat) |
| Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Haydah (Radhiallahu anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said,"the rights of a neighbour are: if he falls ill, you visit him, if he passes away, you attend his funeral, if he asks you for a loan, you grant him a loan, if he faults, you conceal him, if good befalls him you congratulate him, if calamity befalls him, you support him. Do not build your building higher than his that you block his air, and do not cause him difficulty with the aroma of your pot (of cooked food) except that send for him from there. (Tabrani) |
| Shurayh ibnul Adawi says "I heard with my own ears and saw with my own eyes when Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was speaking and he said, "whoever believes in Allah and the last day should honour his neighbour and whoever believes in Allah and the last day should honour his guest and whoever believes in Allah and the last day should say good or remain silent." | Abdur Rahmaan ibn Quraad narrates that once Rasulullah(Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was performing wudhu and the noble companions were taking the water (that dripped off his limbs) and rubbing it over themselves. Rasulullah(Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) asked, "what prompts you to do this?" They replied, "the love of Allah and His Messenger." Rasulullah(Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "whoever is pleased by this that he should love Allah and His Messenger or that Allah and His Messenger should love him, he should speak the Truth, and fulfill his trust when entrusted, and be kind towards his neighbours." (Bayhaqi) |
| Sayyidah Ayesha (Radhiallahu anha) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said," Jibraeel (AS) continuously advised me about the rights of neighbours to the extent that I thought he would make him an heir." (Bukhari, Muslim) |

| Sayyidah Ayesha (Radhiallahu anha) narrates that she was with Rasulullah on a journey. She says, I raced him in running, and I won him. When I gained weight (later) I raced him (again) and he won me. He said, this (equalizes) that (previous) race. (Abu Dawood) |

| Sayyidah Umme Salmah (Radhiallahu anha) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "whichever woman dies in this condition that her husband is pleased with her, she shall enter into Jannah." (Tirmidhi) |
| Sayyiduna Anas (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, " when a woman performs her five salaat, and observes her fasts of the month (of Ramadhaan) and protects her chastity, and obeys her husband, she may enter into Jannah through whichever door she wishes." | In a lengthy hadith by Jabir who (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "Fear Allah in the matter of women, and you have taken them (in your nikah) in the protection of Allah, and they have become permissible unto you by the word of Allah. It is your right upon them that they do not allow those whom you disallow (dislike) to sit on your beds. And if they do so, then you may discipline them without being brutal. And their rights upon you is to fee them and clothe them appropriately. (Muslim) |

| Ibn Umar (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, " he is not a maintainer of good ties who keeps good ties in return with those who keep good ties with him. In fact he is a maintainer of good ties who (strives to maintain) good ties with those who severe ties." (Bukhari) |

They (companions) asked, "can a person (actually) swear his parents?" Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "yes, a person swears (another) persons father, then he swears his father (in retaliation) and a person swears (another) persons mother, then he swears his mother (in retaliation") (bukhari, muslim) |
| Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi Wasallam) said, "maintaining family ties is from (the mercy of) Rahmaan (the Compassionate). Allah Ta'ala says,(to his merciful link) "whoever joins you I will join him and whoever severes you,I will severe him." (Bukhari) |

| Abdullah ibn Umar narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "verily the most virtuous of good deeds is for a man to maintain good ties with his fathers friends after the demise of his father." (Muslim) |
| Abdullah ibn Umar narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "whoever wishes to serve his father in his grave should maintain kind relations with his fathers brothers after his (fathers) demise. (Ibn Hibbaan) |
| Asma bint Abubakr (Radhiallhu Anhuma) narrates that "My mother came to me during the Qurayshi era when she was still a Mushrikah. I asked , "O Rasulullah, my mother has come to me and she has a need, should I maintain relations with her?" Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) replied, "Yes, maintain (kind) relations with her." (Bukhari. Muslim) |
| Muawiyah ibn Jaahimah narrates that (my father) Jaahimah came to Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and said O Rasulullah, I have decided to proceed on an expedition and have come to consult with you. Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "Have you got a mother?" He replied, "Yes".Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, so stay with her (serve her) because Jannah is at her feet." | Sayyidah Ayesha (radhiallahu anha) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "I slept and in my dream I saw that I am in Jannah. I heard recitation (of Quraan) therein so I asked, "Who is this?" It was said, "this is Haaritha bin Naumaan. That is piety, that is piety. He was the kindest of persons towards his mother." | Ibn Umar (Radhiallahu Anhu) narrates, "A person came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and said: "I have committed a major sin, Is there a way of repentance for me?" Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "have you got a mother?" He replied,"No." Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "have you got an aunt? (Mothers sister) he replied, "Yes." Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "Serve her." (TIrmidhi) |
| Abu Saeed Khudri (radhiallahu anhu) says, "A person from Yemen made Hijrah to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) who asked him, Have you anyone in Yemen?" He replied, "my parents." Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) asked, "have they permitted you (to come here?)" He replied."No". Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "Return and seek their permission. If they permit you. You may proceed for jihaad and if not then (stay there) and serve them." (Abu Dawood, Ahmad) |
| Abdullah ibn Amr (radhiallahu anhu) narrates, "a person came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and asked, "may I go for Jihaad?" Rasulullah. (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) asked, have you got parents?" He replied, "yes." He said, "your jihaad is to serve them." (Abu Dawood) |
| Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "May he be disgraced, May he be disgraced, May he be disgraced." It was asked, "who, O Rasulullah?" He replied, "he who finds both or one of his parents in old age, and fails to enter into Jannah, (out of failUre to serve them." (Muslim) |

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "Your mother, then again your mother, then again your mother, then your father, then your close relatiives and then those next close in relations." | Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Exercise equality when giving gifts to your children. If I were to grant preference to anyone, I would give preference to the females." (Tabrani, Sunan Saeed bin Mansoor) |
| Nu'maan bin Basheer (Radhiallahu Anhu) says, That his father came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and said, "I have gifted this slave to my son." Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) asked, 'have you gifted the same to all your children?' He replied, ",no." Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'then take it back". |
| According to another narration, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) asked: 'would it please you that all your children obey you equally?' He replied, "yes" . Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "then you shouldn't (give this gift to him only). |
| According to another narration he says," My father gave me a gift. Amrah bint Rawahah (my mother) said, "I will never be pleased (with this gift) until Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is not made a witness to it. So my father came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and said, "I have given my son from (my wife) Amrah bint Rawahah a gift and she has requested me to make you a witness to it, O Rasulullah." He asked, "Have you given all your children the same as this?" He replied, "No" Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, "fear Allah and be just between your children." He returned and withdrew the gift. According to a narration Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) also said, "I do not stand as a witness in matters of injustice." (Bukhari, Muslim) |
| Sayyiduna Abu Saeed (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said:"Whoever brings up 3 daughters or 3 sisters or 2 sisters or 2 daughters, teaching them good manners and being kind towards them, and he marries them off, then for him is Jannah." (Abu Dawood, Tirmizi) |
| Sayyiduna Anas (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "whoever brings up two girls until they reach puberty, will come on the day of qiyama and I and he will be like this, and Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) held his two fingers close like this. | Sayyidah Ayesha (radhiallahu anha) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "whoever is tested with (the responsbility) of these daughters, and he is good towards them, then this will be a barrier for him from the fire." (Bukhari, Muslim) |

| Amr ibn Shuaib narrates from his father who narrates from his grandfather that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: " command your offspring to perform salaat when they are seven years and beat (discipline) them upon It when they are ten years. And separate their beds (at the age) " (Abu Dawood) |

| Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "The first words you should teach your children is La ilaha Illallah and encourage them to recite them at the time of death." (Bayhaqi) |

| Sayyiduna Abu Darda (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: " You will be called by your names and your fathers names on the Day of Qiyamah, so keep bgood names." (Ahmad, Abu Dawood) |
| Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: " The first gift a person gives to his child is his name. Therefore he should give him a good name" (Abussh Shaykh) |
| Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (radhiallahu anhu) says that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "it is a right upon the parent towards his child that he gives him a good name and teaches him good etiquette." (Bayhaqi) |
| Hasan narrates from Samura ibn Jundub (radhiallahu anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: 'Every child is ransomed through his aqeeqah that is slaughteed on his behalf on the seventh day, and shaved nd named." (Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi) Salman bin Aamir (radhiallahu anhu) narrates I heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) say: "with every (newborn) child there is aqeeqah. Therefore slaughter on his behalf and cleanse from him impurity (shave).". Bukhari |
| Sayyidun Ali (radhiallahu anhu) says that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) made aqeeqah on behalf of Hasan with a sheep and he said: "o Fatimah, shave his head and give sadaqah (charity) equal to the weight of his hair in silver." | Sayyiduna Buraydah (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that when a child would be born to any of us in the days of Jahiliyyah, people used to slaughter a sheep and rub its (childs) head its blood. When Islam came, we used to slaughter a sheep on the Seventh day and shave the head of the child and rub saffron on it. (Abu Dawood) |
| Sayyidah Umme Kurz (radhiallahu anha) narrates that I heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) say: (regarding Aqeeqah) " for a boy two sheep and for a girl one sheep (should be slaughtered) and there is no harm whether they are male or female." (Tirmidhi, Nasa'i) |
| Sayyidah Asma(radhiallahu anha) narrates: " I was pregnant with Abdullah bin Zubair while in Makkah. I gave birth to him at Quba, then I brought him to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and placed him in his lap. He then requested for a date, and chewed it and placed his saliva in his mouth, and rubbed it on his palate. Then he made dua for him and blessed him. He was the first child to be born after the Hijra." (Bukhari, Muslim) |

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said:, "Whoever sends salawaat upon me at my grave, I hear it and whoever sends salawaat upon me from a distance, it is conveyed to me." (Baihaqi) |

| Sayyiduna Ibnu Mas'ood (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Verily there are angels of Allah, who wander the earth, and convey to me the greetings of my Ummah." (Nasa'i and Darimi) |
| Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Do not make your homes graveyards, and do not make my grave a place of celebration, and send salawaat upon me, verily your salawaat reaches me wherever you may be." (Nasa') |
| Sayyiduna Umar (radhiallahu anhu) narrates, "Verily the du'a of a person remains suspended between the heavens and the earth, nothing of it rises up, until you do not send salawaat upon your Nabi." (Tirmidhi) |
| Sayyiduna Ubay bin Ka'b (radhiallahu anhu) narrates"I said, O Rasulullah, I wish to increase salawaat upon you. So how much should I allocate of my dua for (salawaat) upon you?" He replied, 'whatever (amount) you wish.' I said, "a quarter." He replied, 'whatever you desire. And if you increase, it would be better for you.' "I said, half." He replied, "whatever you wish. And if you increase it, it would be better for you.' I said two thirds.' He replied,' whatever you wish. And if you increase it, it will be better for you.' I said. "I will allocate my entire dua sending salawaat upon you." He replied, "in that case all your worries(needs) would be sufficed and your sins would be expiated. (Tirmidhi) |
| Sayyiduna Ruwayfi bin Thaabit (Radiallahu Anhu) narrates that Rasullulah (Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) said:"Whoever sends Blessings upon Muhammed, and then says, 'O Allah, grant him (Nabi Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) a special seat close to you on the Day of Qiyamah,' then my intercession will become obligatory upon him" (Ahmad) |
| Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibnu Mas'ood (Radiallahu Anhu) that Rasullulah (Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) said: " The closest of people to me on the day of Qiyamah will be those who send the most Blessings upon me" (Tirmidhi) |
| Sayyiduna Ruwayfi bin Thaabit (Radiallahu Anhu) narrates that Rasullulah (Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) said:"Whoever sends Blessings upon Muhammed, and then says, 'O Allah, grant him (Nabi Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) a special seat close to you on the Day of Qiyamah,' then my intercession will become obligatory upon him" (Ahmad) |
| Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radiallahu Anhu) that Rasullulah (Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) said "No group gathers in which they do not remember Allah, nor send blessings upon their Nabi, but it will be a burden upon them. If Allah wishes He may punish them and if He wishes, He may forgive them" (Tirmidhi) |
| Sayyiduna Ali (Radiallahu Anhu) narrates that Rasullulah (Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) said " A miser is he, before whom my name is mentioned, and he does not confer Blessings upon me" (Tirmidhi) |

| Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radiallahu Anhu) that Rasulllah (Sallallahu Alyahi Wasallam) said: "Whoever sends one blessing upon me Allah will send blessings upon him" (Muslim). |
